Gerstekorrels zijn een combinatie van te sterke verhoorning en te weinig vocht ( dus droogte). De oplossing zit dan in AHA’s en het heel goed
hydrateren van de huid. Je kan ze ook door een schoonheidsspecialist laten verwijderen, en dan dit soort producten gebruiken om ze weg te houden. De schoonheidsspecialiste prikt met een steriel naaldje het stukje huid boven de gerstekorrel open zodat deze er eenvoudig uitgehaald kan worden. Dit is niet erg gevoelig.
Verder is alles met peelings aan te raden dus bijvoorbeeld microdermabrasie, fruitzuur- of enzymatische peelings. Vaak zitten de gerstekorrels ( milia) op het jukbeen of rond de ogen.
